Welcome Wolverine Families,

Ryan is located in the heart of Fairbanks and is the most culturally diverse middle school in the area. We believe that our diversity makes us stronger. The goal of our highly dedicated staff is to provide a rich educational experience for all of our students. We celebrate our student success throughout the year with long standing traditions, such as Future So Bright and the Honor Merit Tea “Getting their Just Desserts”. Ryan students also excel in extracurricular sports and academic groups such as Lego Robotics, Math Counts, Student Council and Honor Society.  All students attending Ryan also learn my favorite dance tune the “Chicken Dance”.

The Ryan staff is committed to students and their families and are always willing to do what’s best for kids. Many staff members have taught the parents of the student they now have in class thus strengthening relationships. These relationships help parents to feel comfortable coming into school and interacting with the staff.

Ryan's beautiful building was designed to be flexible around student learning and providing teachers the ability to supervise students working in common areas. Teachers utilize the shared common space outside their classrooms to differentiate lessons, allowing students to work individually, in small groups or with the teacher in a larger group.
